On Nov. 2, Wayne State University Press and the Detroit Film Theatre will team up to host a reception for the print biography A Woman at War: Marlene Dietrich, written by her grandson, J. David Riva. He will be on hand to speak about his experiences researching the book, after which the theater will present the 1930 film that made Dietrich a star, The Blue Angel.
